Description
Ty-Perrot is a 2-storey building with a 2-window entrance front made of split rubble, featuring remnants of render and some squared quoins. The ground floor windows have brick dressings. The building has a steep roof, covered with slate on the front pitch and split sandstone on the rear, with modern rubble stacks, the larger of which is located on the right gable. The windows are 2-light wood casements set in timber frames, with slightly arched heads on the ground floor. A small porch with a pitched roof and scalloped bargeboards is supported by timber posts. The rear of the building has three varied window openings, all under timber lintels, with a higher window on the left for an internal turning staircase. There is a rendered extension that includes small paired casements above a half-glazed door.
According to the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales, Ty-Perrot features a deep fireplace, which has been partly infilled by a later range, with a wooden bressumer that has ogee stops. There are also other original details present in the roof trusses.
