Description
The former post office is a building constructed with colourwashed stucco that mimics ashlar stonework, topped with a plain tile roof and featuring brick end stacks. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has a three-window range. The façade includes two gabled dormers with small-paned windows, three pairs of small-paned casement windows with cambered heads on the first floor, and a small 12-pane sash window on the ground floor to the left. The door is centrally located, with a 19th-century canted bay window to the right. The windows are small and also have cambered heads. The bay window is slightly misaligned with the window above and features a 1-3-1 light configuration with top lights and a hipped slate roof. The door is set within a boarded gabled porch supported by two large scrolled brackets and two iron columns. To the left of the door, there is an inset GR post-box. The south end wall is made of painted brick. At the rear, there is a wing with a slate roof and a tall brick east stack.
Additionally, there is an outbuilding to the south, constructed from painted rubble stone and covered with a plain tile roof. This outbuilding features a timber lintel over a blocked opening to the left, followed by a straight joint, a window, and a door with brick heads. There is also a small catslide eaves-breaking loft light located above the door.
