Description
The granary and cider house at Hoaldalbert is a 19th-century structure built from rubble stone, topped with a slate roof and a tile ridge. The openings feature segmental arches made of stone voussoirs. The north front is two stories high and faces the farmyard. On the left side, stone steps lead up to a plank and batten door of the granary. On the right side, the first floor has two square windows with narrow 5-light chamfered mullions, while the ground floor has a boarded door flanked by similar 5-light windows. The east gable has a boarded door on the ground floor.
Inside, the loft is supported by four bays with 19th-century king post roof trusses. The cider house still contains its cider mill and press in their original positions. The cider mill is well-preserved, featuring a drive shaft, a circular stone trough, a stone mill wheel, and a wooden yoke for a pony.
