Description
The courtyard wall, gates, and railings at Hoaldalbert date from the 19th century and define the eastern side of the farmyard, situated between the farmhouse and the stable block. The wrought-iron gates on the right feature dog-rails and are ramped up towards the center, creating a broad segmental arched entrance. Flanking the gates are low stone walls topped with iron railings, which have stanchions adorned with urn finials. To the left, towards the farmhouse, the wall curves back at right angles, forming a U-shaped enclosure that surrounds the back yard of the house. On the eastern side of this enclosure, there is a small iron gate, also with a dog-rail, that opens directly into the yard.
