Description

Grosmont Bridge is an early 19th-century structure made of rubble stone with ashlar dressings. It features a single broad segmental arch that includes a central keystone and slightly recessed stone voussoirs. The parapet rises to about 1 meter in height and has shouldered coping along with splayed abutments. On both the upstream and downstream sides, the outer faces of the parapet walls project slightly and are supported by a row of shaped corbels.
