Description
Inglis Bridge, built in the 20th century, spans the River Monnow and is a Mark II bridge that uses masonry abutments from an earlier wooden bridge. The bridge is 90 feet long and features a single span with a square section structure. It is made up of parallel longitudinal stringers and transoms, with a wooden deck that is 9 feet 6 inches wide, supported by upper and lower lateral bracing. The sides consist of equal length tubular sections that are pinned into cast sockets, forming a Warren Girder through truss bridge.
