Description

Prospect House is a 19th-century building constructed of roughcast over brick or stone, topped with a slate gabled roof and cement rendered stacks. The house features a symmetrical design with a double depth and a central entry, consisting of two parallel ranges. The front elevation has two storeys and three bays. On the first floor, there are three sash windows set in reveals, each with six over six panes. The ground floor has two sash windows, also six over six panes, with additional end quarter panes. The central doorway is topped with a stuccoed pediment supported by brackets, and the door itself has two long panels with a plain rectangular fanlight above. There is a rear parallel range with an additional rear wing, but the rear elevation was not seen. The interior was not inspected during the resurvey.
