Description
Michaelston Bridge is a single-carriageway, two-span bridge built in a vernacular style, primarily constructed of snecked rubble stone. It features segmental arches with fine arch rings, and there is a string course above the arches on the upstream side. The central pier has V-shaped cutwaters with shallow offsets that rise to the full height of the parapet, creating defined refuges. The low parapet has a flat stone coping and is splayed out at the ends above the splayed abutments. The deck is surfaced with tarmac and is ramped from north to south.
