Description
The walls of the former kitchen garden at Cefn Mably are made of rubble stone and stand 2 to 3 meters high, enclosing an area of approximately 70 meters square. The east wall features a narrow inserted doorway with brick jambs. Set back from the northeast corner, the north wall includes a gateway with hammer-dressed stone piers and brick quoins. To the right of this gateway is a 19th-century ruined gardener's cottage constructed of rubble stone with brick dressings, which has a later brick lean-to addition. The interior is reported to still have ruined glasshouses, but it was inaccessible during the inspection.
