Description
Cefn Railway Viaduct is a railway viaduct built in 1866. It features abutments, tall slender piers, and parapets made of coursed irregular sized rock-faced limestone blocks. The structure includes fifteen ring-built semi-circular brick arches, each consisting of six courses. The piers have a projecting impost band, and there are two projecting string courses located below the parapets. The viaduct is constructed on a gentle arc, measuring approximately 235 meters in length and reaching a maximum height of about 36 meters. An inscription on the south side reads, "Built by Savin and Ward 1866."
