Description
The entrance gate piers and railings to Bronwydd were built around 1914, at the same time as Bronwydd House, which was constructed for William Evans. The gate piers are made of limestone and feature moulded plinths, moulded recessed panels, and heavy decorative capstones that have a round arched cornice moulding topped with wrought iron finials. Each pair of piers is connected by a short curved brick wall with stone coping and decorative painted iron spear-headed railings. Together, the four elements create a recessed bay for the drive entrance, although the original central double gates have been replaced.
