Description

The statue of James Rice Buckley is a 20th-century work by sculptor W Goscombe John RA. It features a bronze standing figure dressed in clerical attire, holding papers in his left hand while resting his right hand on a staff. The statue is set on a stepped stone plinth that is inscribed with the words "A man he was to all the Country dear."
