Description

The bridge over the Dock Feeder Canal is a Grade II listed structure featuring heavy rock-faced abutments with a parapet made of slightly smaller blocks. The central span of the bridge is set back from the abutments. At the decking level, there is a smoothed-dressed band course. The span of the bridge is topped with rounded rock-like coping stones, while the flared approaches have flat coping stones. The canal is spanned by four parallel I-beams that are connected by transverse tie rods. The flanges on the I-beams support shallow brick arches, which have modern brick decking laid on top.
