Description

The remains of Black Friars are located in Bute Park. The site features a plan of the church and domestic buildings outlined by low brick walls and paths. There are remnants of 19th-century tiled pavement. The church, situated to the south, had a four-bay nave and a narrow chancel. To the north, there is a cloister with a refectory and infirmary beyond. A 19th-century graveslab commemorates John de Ecclescliffe in the area of the church.
