Description
112 Cathedral Road is a pair of semi-detached houses built in the Old English Revival style, also known as the Norman Shaw style. They are constructed of red brick with Portland stone ashlar dressings and feature Welsh slate roofs, red brick chimneys, and ridge tiles. Each house stands three storeys tall and is two bays wide, consisting of a large bay and a small bay with paired entrances at the centre.
The ground and first floors are adorned with canted 5-light bay windows that have plate glass. The gabled top floor juts out on carved brackets and includes a 5-light timber mullioned window set within a two-tier tile-hung façade. The houses have plain bargeboards and a large chimney stack on the side elevation. The paired doorways are framed by timber porches with moulded columns, and each house features a window above the door, a coved cornice, and a dormer with a slate roof and finial. The side elevation displays stone bands and small windows, while the rear elevation is not visible. The interior details were not available at the time of resurvey.
