Description
The west wall of the Dutch Garden at St Fagans Castle features a high stone rubble wall known as the 'Battlement Walk', complete with battlements and a parapet walk. This wall extends north-westwards to the 'Watchtower', which is constructed of stone and has a parapet on its northern, southern, and western sides, resembling the terrace parapets. The western wall includes ventilators, and there is a doorway at ground level. An external stone stair rises from the wall walk on the eastern side, creating a small turret at the angle between the wall walk and the south wall of the tower on the western side. At the southern end of the 'Battlement Walk', there is an arch with a cambered head.
