Description
No. 3 Chestnut Cottages is part of a row of three estate cottages built from random rubble limestone. The main elevation features a 'vertical crazy paving' style, with dressed long-and-short quoins and rusticated window surrounds. The cottages have a Welsh slate roof and are two stories high. There are six windows in total across the row; the center cottage is double fronted under a gable, while the outer cottages have their doors positioned to the left and right. Each cottage has plank doors and iron diamond lattice windows, with three-light windows below and two-light windows above, each now fitted with a single pane in the opening part. There are two red brick chimneys located between the houses. The rear elevation has been partly altered. The interior has not been inspected.
