Description
The Church of St Dyfan and St Teilo is a Grade II* listed building constructed from grey rubble with red stone quoins and bathstone dressings, topped with slate roofs. The west tower is square and unbuttressed, featuring a shallow staircase projection to the north and a castellated parapet supported by corbels, divided into four stages. A steeply-pitched gabled south porch has a Gothic arch, stone benches, and a window on the east side. To the left of the porch is a window with a cusped head and a square hoodmould, while to the right are a window with two cusped lights (also with a square hoodmould) and another window further to the right. The north elevation of the nave includes a two-light window to the west and a single light window to the east. The chancel features two lancet windows on the south side and a high two-light window on the east side.
In the churchyard to the south of the church, there is the base of a medieval churchyard cross, which consists of a square socket on a base of two square steps.
Inside, the church has a chamfered chancel arch and a 15th or 16th-century arch-braced roof. A Gothic wooden reredos was added in 1933, and the original medieval altar slab was replaced in 1974.
