Description
Sunny Bank is a two-storey cottage, likely dating from the 18th century, featuring a pebbledash front with cement window dressings, presumably over local rubblestone. The gable and rear walls are rendered and painted, topped with a Welsh slate roof and stone rubble chimneys. The cottage has a gable end facing the road and includes two windows on the front, with a central doorway that has a late 20th-century gabled timber porch. The windows are small 6 over 6 pane 2-light casements, and the roof is plain with gable stacks. At the rear, there is a small single-storey kitchen extension with a flat roof and two modern top-hung lights on the upper floor.
To the right of the main elevation, there is a small attached outhouse, likely built at the same time as the cottage, which serves as a wood store and privy. The front garden is enclosed by a limestone rubble wall approximately 1.2 meters high, while another wall separates the rear yard from the road and is connected to the rear outhouse.
The interior was not seen during the resurvey, but it is expected to have a direct entry and very small rooms, as it remains single depth.
