Description
The Three Tuns is a two-storey, eight-bay house, likely dating from the 18th century, constructed with limestone rubble walls and a longstraw thatched roof. The ground floor features timber casement windows of varying widths, some with small panes of glass, and two six-over-six sash windows at the east end. The front door is arched and has a Victorian hoodmould decorated with foliate carvings. The first floor has eight sash windows with glazing bars; two at the west end are eight-over-eight, while the rest are six-over-six, each with a projecting eyebrow detail and exposed timber lintels. There are also various casement windows on the ground floor. The building has three chimneys, one at the gable end and two axial. Two doorways are visible on the front elevation, one at the north end and one at the south end. The building was not accessible during inspection in March 1995.
