Description
Ivy Tower is a ruined, ivy-covered castellated tower that stands two storeys high and is constructed of rubble stone. The tower has an octagonal shape at the lower stage, which is buttressed, and transitions to a circular form above, featuring a string course between the two stages. The lower stage includes segmental-headed windows facing the cardinal directions and a segmental-headed doorway on the southwest side. The upper storey has windows and a doorway on the southeast side, which have 2-centred heads, and above these are small quatrefoil recesses. The castellated parapet of the tower projects forward. Inside, there is a fireplace located on the northwest side, with the chimney integrated into the castellations.
