Description
The gates, piers, and railings at Beulah Chapel date from the 19th century and are constructed with two square gate piers made of large blocks of dressed stone. Each pier features domed and swept cap stones on thin projecting slabs. Between the piers, there are double cast iron gates, which have top rails that curve down towards the center and are adorned with pronounced fleur-de-lis finials. The gates also include narrowly spaced dog rails, which have fleur-de-lis finials and arched iron braces. On either side of the piers, there are plain railings with finials that turn at right angles towards the chapel entrance, creating an enclosure. The railings on the north side curve out towards the vestry, and the enclosure has a flagstone floor.
