Description
Aber-clwyd lock and overflow on the Neath Canal is a canal lock and overflow structure featuring a chamber with coursed stone walls and flat stone kerbs. It has new gates and machinery. On the south side of the canal, to the northeast of the chamber, the towpath crosses an overflow channel that is supported by three contiguous segmental arches made of stone voussoirs. There are low parapets with flat stone copings on each side. The overflow channel has sides and a floor made of squared stone.
