Description
This is a hump-backed canal bridge located over the Tennant Canal to the south of the entrance to Neath Abbey. It is constructed of rubblestone and features a single segmental arch made of dressed sandstone voussoirs. The bridge has low parapets with coping made from rectangular cast blocks of copper slag, some of which have Roman numerals cast into them. The abutments of the bridge splay outwards slightly on each side and are extended as a wall on the southwest side. A former tow path crosses from the south to the north side of the canal over the bridge.
