Description
This is a farm building constructed of mass concrete with plain cement render, featuring a platt band, a gable chimney, and a corrugated sheet roof. The structure has tripartite windows on the ground floor, a central light opening, and four-light windows on the first floor. It is designed in an L-shape, with a two-storey gabled north-south range facing the river, a partly demolished single-storey wing to the south, and a single-storey wing to the northeast.
The west elevation facing the river has three windows, while the south gable has a single bay with a loading door and a hoist leading to the first floor, which is covered by a projecting roof. The east elevation, which faces the yard, has two bays with a small window above a ground floor door on the left and another door on the right, along with steps and a handrail leading up to a first floor door. A single-storey wing is attached in line with the gable. The south elevation includes a doorway and a wide window, while the north elevation has two doorways and a central three-light window, with a single window in the gable.
The single-storey wing to the south of the main range shows evidence of a pigsty arrangement, although the roof has been raised on the front (yard) side. The building was largely refitted in the mid to late 20th century for use as a dairy farm, and the south single-storey range retains a roof truss dated 1891.
