Description

The Circular Pigsty near Pill House is a small, circular structure made of rubble stone, constructed in local limestone. It stands approximately 2.5 metres tall and has a diameter of about 2 metres. On the south side, there is a small opening with a stone lintel. The lower 1.4 metres of the structure is nearly vertical, topped by a course of thin stones that align with the lintel of the opening. Above this, the sides gradually corbel inwards to form a rough dome at the top. To the south, there are remnants of a small yard wall that extend about 2 metres, which can be seen among the undergrowth.
