Description

18 Ship Street is a two-storey building with a three-window stucco front and a slate roof. The first floor features three 4-pane sash windows. The ground floor has a double 19th-century shop front, which consists of two windows, each with four curved-headed lights, and the innermost light of each window is canted towards a central modern glazed door. It is noted that old stonework is said to exist at the rear of the building. There is also a two-storey rear wing made of brick, also with a slate roof.

Inside, the ground floor has stopped and chamfered beams. The rear of the building includes an early window, possibly medieval, which has a dressed stone surround and an iron grille.
