Description
The Stable and Cart Shed at Middle Gaer is an early 19th-century structure built of rubble stone with tooled dressings and a stone tile roof. The stable, located on the right, features a central doorway with a boarded door, flanked by arched openings, all topped with segmental heads. Above the doorway, there is a loft opening beneath the wall plate. On the left is a two-bay cart shed, where the inner bay has a flattened segmental arch with tooled voussoirs and a projecting keystone, while the outer bay has a shallow modern lean-to. Above the inner bay, there is also a loft opening beneath the wall plate. The gable ends include triangular breathers. The building was not inspected at the time of the survey in September 1997.
