Description

The barn range at Aberbran Fawr is constructed of rubble stone and features imitation slate and corrugated metal roofs. The structure slopes downhill, with a low south gable end and a high north end. The south barn includes two loops and a loft door in the south gable end. On the west side, there is an added lean-to and a loop on each side of the door, which has an oak lintel. The adjacent range features 19th-century yellow brick heads above a stable door, which is flanked by small windows. Above the stable door, there is a long loft door situated under the eaves. To the left, a tall rubble wall has been added, which serves as the back wall of the hay barn.

On the east side, there is a lean-to at the upper end, an inserted door into the central section, and a hay barn at the north end. The tall hay barn consists of three bays and has two tall square rubble piers extending from the ground to the roof, with timber lintels spanning across to support an open-fronted loft floor. The north end wall has been rebuilt, leaving the gable open.
