Description
Aberbran Bridge, also known as Pont Aberbran, is a road bridge featuring three broad arches constructed with cut stone voussoirs and a triple keystone above the central arch. The bridge has slight cutwaters made of squared tooled stone with stepped tops, positioned under raised piers, with the two central piers extending above the parapets. There is a raised band beneath the parapet, consisting of a thin smooth stone course on each side of a thicker tooled course, which is broken forward over the piers. The parapets include semi-circular seat indents above the cutwaters and are splayed out at the ends. The western parapet has a plaque that reads 'MDCCXCI by James Parry. J. Parry Jr Scp'. A modern pipe is attached to the upstream side of the bridge.
