Description
Orchard House is a Grade II listed building featuring a front wing that faces Orchard Street. This wing is two storeys high and consists of three bays, constructed with cement render and end pilasters. It has a stone plinth and a slate roof with stacks on the ridge. On the first floor, there are three 12-pane hornless sash windows. The ground floor includes a tripartite sash window with glazing bars in each end bay, which are adorned with capped pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. The central bay features a doorway flanked by similar pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice, with panelled reveals, a six-panelled door, and a fanlight with diamond tracery. To the right, there is a long rear wing that begins with a block that has lower eaves, followed by a taller three-storey wing with a timber gable facing southwest, which contains modern windows.
