Description
This building is a shop with living accommodation above, featuring a stucco front and a slate roof. It has narrow paired sash windows framed in architraves at the center of both the first and second floors, with the pair on the first floor having rounded heads. The ground floor has a 20th-century plate glass shop front. At the rear, facing Lion Street, there is a gabled facade with mostly 19th-century and later windows, including a narrow staircase window on the first floor.
Inside, there is a turning staircase that is carpeted and has modern detailing. This staircase is described as the "very fine" newel stair noted in the 1976 listing, although the newel post has been boxed. Additionally, there are concealed ovolo moulded beams present.
