Description

Lock No 68 is the uppermost of a group of three locks that complete the flight of five located west of Llangynidr. This lock raises the canal by 17 meters over a distance of 37 kilometers towards Brecon. Like the neighboring locks, the chamber has been partly refaced in brick. This lock features modern paddle gear and gates that were replaced in 1985. Additionally, the adjacent bank retains a stop-lock.
