Description

Workhouse Bridge, also known as Canal Bridge No 136, is a hump-backed bridge made of rubble sandstone, featuring a round arch and a low parapet. The arch is constructed with thin voussoirs and has a keystone on the eastern side. The abutments curve outward on both sides, and the parapet includes square end piers. On the eastern side, there is a cast iron plaque displaying the bridge number in relief. Additionally, stone steps have been added to the towpath on the western side.
