Description

Saladin Cottage is a two-storey cottage built of rubble sandstone with a slate roof and an end stone stack on the left side. The front has two windows, which are offset to the left, featuring large stone lintels and sills. The windows consist of 12-pane hornless sashes, and there is a central 6-panel door with a 3-pane overlight above it. The right gable end has a renewed sash window on the upper storey and an added door and window below. At the rear, the openings are offset to the right, with 12-pane sashes on both the right and left in the upper storey, and a smaller 9-pane sash window in between. The lower storey has recently added casements and a door in the original openings. There is also an added one-storey projection at the left end of the rear. The building was not inspected during the resurvey in July 1997.
