Description
Llwyncelyn is a two-storey house with an attached byre, which is now used as a stable. The building has a continuous roof and a shorter parallel rear range. Its walls are made of random rubble, battered at the base, and show traces of limewash, with openings beneath timber lintels. The slate roof features an end stone stack on the left side. The house on the left has a double front with openings that are offset to the right. The sash windows have been renewed in their original openings, including one that has been inserted above the doorway. The doorway retains brackets from a former canopy and has a replaced front door. The stable on the right has a rare surviving pentice, a characteristic feature of this region, and a renewed slate roof. To the right of the stable is a doorway with a boarded door, along with a small opening to its left. The rear range has three windows and end stone stacks. There is a stone-walled forecourt in front of the farmhouse. The property was not accessible during the inspection in August 1997.
