Description
Ffawydden Farmhouse and the attached barn are built from painted local rubblestone and feature natural slate roofs, while the lean-to shed has a corrugated metal sheet roof. The building has an L-shaped plan, with a rear wing for the house and an in-line cowhouse that includes an additional lean-to at the front.
On the entrance elevation, the cowhouse is located on the left and the house on the right. The house features a central panelled door with a gabled porch that has solid sides, alongside flanking 6 over 6 pane sash windows and 3 over 6 pane sash windows above. It has a low pitch roof with eaves and a small stack on the left gable. The cowhouse has a wide doorway, and its front elevation is mostly obscured by a low stable that has a plain door and a lean-to roof. The cowhouse has a steeply pitched roof.
There is a small projecting wing on the rear elevation, but it is only visible from a distance. The interior details were not available during the resurvey.
