Harley's Almshouses

Harley's Almshouses is a symmetrical single-storey building constructed from coursed rubble, featuring a half-hipped slate roof. It has three diagonally set red brick chimney stacks with stock brick caps. The central broad gable above Nos. 15 and 16 displays a coat of arms set in a diamond frame, above a stone tablet that reads: "These Almshouses were erected and endowed by Frances Harley to the memory of her mother The Honourable Mrs Harley of Trebarried for the reception of 6 poor indigent women AD MDCCCXXXII." The building includes voussoir lintels above Tudor pointed window and door openings, paired casement windows with diamond leaded glazing, boarded shutters with 'C' shaped fastenings, and boarded doors. The gable ends are plain, and there is an extension at the rear.
