Description

Harley's Almshouses is a symmetrical single-storey building constructed from coursed rubble, topped with a half-hipped slate roof. It features three diagonally set red brick chimney stacks with stock brick caps. The central broad gable above Nos. 15 and 16 displays a coat of arms set in a diamond frame, above a stone tablet that reads: "These Almshouses were erected and endowed by Frances Harley to the memory of her mother The Honourable Mrs Harley of Trebarried for the reception of 6 poor indigent women AD MDCCCXXXII." The building has voussoir lintels above Tudor pointed window and door openings, with paired casement windows that include diamond leaded glazing. The shutters are boarded and feature 'C' shaped fastenings, while the doors are also boarded. The gable ends are plain, and there is an extension at the rear.
