Description

The sundial in the churchyard of St Mary's Parish Church is made of a square stem that stands about 4 feet high. The stem flares out at the top, where it holds a lead octagonal dial and gnomon. The sundial is inscribed with "Parish of Hay 1826, Joseph Huil (?) fecit Birmingham" and includes the names of four churchwardens and overseers.
