Description
The 'U'-plan range of farm buildings at Trefeca College Farm is constructed from mixed sandstone rubble and features slate roofs, with the northern range covered in corrugated iron. Likely built in the 18th century, the buildings have undergone later alterations. The southern arm has a gable end with a central door that features a reused datestone from 1615 above it, along with another reset stone that has two incised panels. There is also a loft door above this entrance. The recessed center is made of stone up to the loft floor level and is then continued in timber framing, which was originally clad with weatherboarding. This section includes five doors and a hay store above.
The northern arm contains a store barn, which has a cart door and ventilation slits on the side walls and gable. The southern range extends further back to provide additional housing for cows.
