Description

Tredustan Hall is a gentry house dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of rubble stone with a slate roof. The house has two storeys and attics, and a full basement. The main east-facing elevation has seven window bays. The central entrance is a boarded door with an overlight, raised over six steps, with a blank window above. Timber cross windows, three spaced regularly, flank the entrance, each with a straight drip course over the timber lintels. The roof is hipped and sprocketed, forming wide, overhanging, boxed eaves. A two-flue gable stack is located at the north end, and a later external stack has been added to the south end. A small lobby is positioned above the side door. A modern addition is present to the north of the building.

The entrance opens into a square central hall, featuring a lateral fireplace on the rear wall. The ceiling is divided into three bays with cross beams. A door leads to the rear staircase, and a former door provides access to the cellars. A parlour is located at the north end, with a stack at the end of the room. The left-hand bay contains a kitchen and a service room.
