Description
Tredustan Court is a two-storey house built from sandstone rubble, topped with a hipped roof made of Herefordshire stone tiles that was renewed in 1995. The original structure features a three-bay east-west range, with a central hall that has a lateral stack. At the west end, there is likely a partitioned inner room that was later used as a dairy, while the wider parlour at the east end also has a lateral stack and is located beyond a cross passage. The rear door of the cross passage was later incorporated into a kitchen extension, which includes a separate service room. Additionally, a gabled stair tower has been added to the rear of the inner room.
The main north elevation displays five window bays, with a six-panelled door leading to the cross passage. The windows are regularly placed, with three on the right side of the door and one to the left in the parlour, which was replaced by hardwood transomed cross windows in 1995. The east elevation is similar, featuring three windows in the parlour and similar windows in the kitchen beyond a straight joint. There is an external gable stack. The elevation has three window bays on two storeys to the right of the entrance and one bay to the left, with all softwood windows undergoing replacement in 1995. The parlour stack has two diagonal flues that have been rebuilt.
Inside, the hall contains a flush lateral fireplace that has been reduced in width, with a blocked oven to the right. It features three transverse beams and a plaster ceiling. The rear stair has been blocked off and replaced by a 19th-century stair. The parlour includes a small fireplace with an oak lintel and two chamfered cross beams, with a partially surviving plaster cavetto moulded cornice. The kitchen has a large gable fireplace, also reduced in width, with an inserted side oven and four chamfered cross beams.
