Description
The lych gate at the church of St Cenau in Llangenny is constructed from coursed rubble that is integrated with the churchyard walls and features a stone tile roof. On the north side, a tie beam is engraved with the inscription "At the Ch of IAMO 1639" in uneven letters, likely copied from a tie beam of an earlier lych gate. The roof has three bays, supported by stop-chamfered tie beams with cusped raking struts. The central truss is held up by plain wall shafts, and between these shafts are wooden gates topped with cast iron fleur-de-lys finials. On the south side of the gates, the walls include stone benches.
