Description
The presbytery to the Catholic Church of St Michael is a building with stone walls and slate roofs. To the northwest, there is a gabled wing that projects forward at a right angle to the church. The gable is slate-hung and features a casement window, while the ground floor has a modern window. The northwest return wall of this wing is blank. There is also a narrower wing to the left, positioned at a right angle on a northwest to southeast axis, which has a slate-hung upper floor and modern glazing. The presbytery is enclosed by a high boundary wall made of stone rubble, displaying hues of purple and grey, topped with ashlar coping. A flight of steps leads up through the wall to a two-centred headed doorway in the wing of the presbytery that adjoins the chancel.
