Description

The Williams Memorial is located in the southwest corner of the old churchyard at Llanelly Church. It features a large sandstone slab supported by four cast-iron legs. The legs are ribbed and taper from fluted feet to caps. The slab is facetted with a central ridge and has a carefully-lettered inscription and scriptural text dedicated to Thomas, son of Thomas and Mary Williams of Penygraig, Llanelly, who died on 1st March 1866 at the age of 29.
