Description
The garden wall and room at Trebinshwn date back to the 18th century. Behind the house, the wall serves as a high retaining wall for the garden, which is situated at a higher level. It features a flight of 11 steps leading up to the garden room. The wall curves to the left, enclosing a large rectangular plot that was once a vegetable garden for the house.
At the courtyard level, to the left of the steps, there is a round arched storage bay built into the bank. To the left of this bay is a square-headed ground floor entrance to the garden room, which has a multipane window above it. There is a second entrance to the garden room at the upper level from the garden, with the side wall forming part of the walled garden.
The main front of the garden room is roughly parallel to the main house and faces east. It features three cambered arched entrances, with the one closest to the house adorned with a shallow pediment. The garden wall is topped with flat coping. Inside the garden room, there is a small fireplace and a six-panelled staircase door.
