Description
The dovecote located to the south of the courtyard ranges at Dynevor Castle, also known as Newton House, is a large octagonal structure built of coursed rubble with quoins at the corners. It features a projecting course at soil level where the raised door is located, as well as a projecting plinth. The door frame still has its timber jambs and lintel, although the roof is missing. Inside, the dovecote retains its nesting boxes made of brick and slate, a projecting course at plinth level, and a central stepped pier that provides access to the nesting boxes.
