Description
The lofted stable range at Llwyd Coed Fawr Farm is a late 18th century or early 19th century farm-building, likely serving as a stable with a hayloft above. It is positioned at the front of the Llwyd Coed Fawr farmhouse, adjacent to the farmyard. The building is single-storey next to the farmhouse and two-storey at the downhill end. It features random rubble masonry that has been whitened, and a slate roof with a tile ridge. The downhill section was likely used as a stable, with the loft accessed from a platform and stone steps located towards the centre on the side facing the yard. There is a doorway at the lower angle with a square window to its right, and a slit ventilator in the gable of the loft at the downhill end.
A modern brick lean-to equipment shed has been added to the north side, and the gap between the west gable and the ruined part of the farmhouse has been informally roofed over.
