Description
The railings and gates of St Non's Church consist of a low wall made of local stone, laid in a random course, which runs along the west edge of the churchyard and extends about 30 meters along the north side. There are iron gates positioned at two points between stone piers. The railings are made of cast iron and are supported by cast-iron standards that are approximately 2.5 meters apart. These standards have a square section measuring 50 millimeters, with enlarged caps and weathered tops. The railings between the standards are formed from two castings, which are attached to the standards with lugs and bolted through a metal coping to the masonry below. Notably, the railings are missing from the last 20 meters on the north side. The design of the railings features a series of ovals topped with fleur-de-lys cresting, and a row of circles adorned with quatrefoils at the bottom.
